The people who read labels will like this one. ProstaVive prints a proper supplement-facts panel, so instead of guessing at a hidden formula you can read what a scoop holds. This page walks through the whole panel, adds the seller’s own notes on each ingredient and points out the one place where the numbers stop.
The panel as printed
The panel is written for a single scoop of roughly 4.93 g, with 30 of them in each tub. Amounts below are per scoop.
| Ingredient | Per scoop | % daily value |
|---|---|---|
| Vitamin D3 | 50 mcg | 333% |
| Vitamin B6 | 10 mg | 588% |
| Magnesium | 50 mg | 12% |
| Zinc | 12 mg | 109% |
| Sodium | 70 mg | 3% |
| Fenugreek seed powder | 500 mg | not set |
| Artichoke extract | 300 mg | not set |
| Ashwagandha extract | 250 mg | not set |
| Cordyceps powder | 250 mg | not set |
| Maca root extract | 250 mg | not set |
| Six-powder blend | 200 mg | not set |
| Stinging nettle root extract | 200 mg | not set |
| Tongkat ali extract | 100 mg | not set |
| Panax ginseng extract | 50 mg | not set |
| Boron | 5 mg | not set |
Inside the blend are raspberry, pomegranate, black currant, broccoli leaf, alfalfa leaf and beet root, and the label prints a single figure for all six. Small print on the panel gives the forms used (cholecalciferol, pyridoxine hydrochloride, and citrate forms of magnesium, zinc and boron), notes that the artichoke is standardized to 5% cynarin and the ashwagandha to 1.5% withanolides, and shows tongkat ali as a 100:1 extract.
Other ingredients: stevia leaf extract, natural flavors, citric acid and sea salt.
Reading the numbers
Two percentages stand out: vitamin D3 comes to 333% of the daily value and vitamin B6 to 588%. Numbers that high are a reason to check anything else you take for the same vitamins before adding this one. Sodium is the other figure to note, at 70 mg a scoop (3% of the daily value).
Check the sums and the plant lines reconcile: 500 mg of fenugreek, 300 mg of artichoke, three extracts at 250 mg each, a 200 mg blend, 200 mg of nettle root, 100 mg of tongkat ali and 50 mg of ginseng add up to 2,100 mg. That matches the figure on the front of the tub, which leaves out the vitamins, minerals and boron.
What the seller says each one does
The seller’s notes are soft and we pass them on as the seller’s, not ours.
- Stinging nettle root: linked with urinary tract health in men and with prostate health.
- Tongkat ali: described as an antioxidant that supports prostate health and circulation to the prostate, and as helpful for healthy stress.
- Panax ginseng: linked with healthy blood flow to the prostate and with cognition.
- Fenugreek: tied to prostate function, healthy stress, mood and brain function.
- Artichoke: a source of natural antioxidants, said to help maintain prostate health.
- Maca: linked with energy and a better mood.
- Boron: listed for a healthy inflammation response, detox and brain function.
- Ashwagandha: described as helping the body’s detox processes.
- Zinc: said to support a healthy prostate and better sleep.
- Magnesium: linked with deeper sleep, energy and brain function.
- Vitamin D: called important for a healthy body, mood and bone density.
For cordyceps and vitamin B6 the seller’s own pages give no separate role, so we say nothing about them. The seller’s website key-ingredients list also leaves those two out, along with the blend, which is why we rely on the label rather than the website for the full set.
The one blend
Fifteen lines, fourteen with their own amount, and one without. The six fruit and vegetable powders share 200 mg, and that is all the panel tells you about them. It is a small slice of a 4.93 g scoop. Still, if you like to know every dose, this is the gap to note, and it is one of the reasons the score stays at 4.6.
What the seller says it leaves out
On the seller’s account there is no wheat, barley, gluten, soy or dairy in the tub, nothing of animal origin and no known allergens. It also calls the powder non-stimulant and non-habit-forming. Regard all of that as the seller’s word. The label names no flavor beyond the general phrase natural flavors.
Research the seller points to
The seller’s references page lists papers about the ingredients, not about ProstaVive itself. We cite four, each described only by its title:
- tongkat ali and its effect on stress hormones and mood in moderately stressed subjects (2013);
- ashwagandha and cardiorespiratory endurance in healthy athletic adults (2015);
- a magnesium review published in Nutrients (2015);
- dietary zinc and zinc supplementation in older adults (2013).
The titles are listed under Sources below with their PubMed links. Studies of a single ingredient cannot tell you what this particular blend does, so we use them as background reading only.
Questions to bring to your doctor or pharmacist
The label gives you real figures to discuss. Take the list above and ask:
- Do I already take vitamin D3 or vitamin B6, in a multivitamin or on their own?
- Does any of my regular medicine interact with these plants?
- The seller does not recommend combining it with supplements built from similar ingredients. Is there anything like that on my shelf?
- Is a scoop with 70 mg of sodium a concern in my situation?
The seller’s own disclaimer asks pregnant or nursing readers, people on medication and anyone with a medical condition to talk to their physician first. For the plants one at a time, see our post on the main ingredients, and for the whole panel written out again, the complete label as a table.
What to take away
ProstaVive earns credit for printing its panel. You can see what a scoop holds, you can check the percentages and you can work out whether the sums add up. The unbroken 200 mg blend is the exception, and the seller’s role notes are marketing language, not findings. Use the table to decide, and use the refund window if you decide to test it.
Good to know
- • ProstaVive is a dietary supplement and individual results vary. If you are pregnant, nursing, on medication or have a medical condition, check with your physician first.
- • People on prescription medicine (including blood pressure, blood sugar or blood-thinning drugs), anyone with a prostate condition or urinary symptoms, and anyone without a recent check-up should ask a doctor before ordering. A supplement does not replace medical care.
- • The 180 days run from the order date. Email support and wait for an agent's go-ahead before you post the tubs back, empty ones included. The return postage is yours.
